I love Painting, both watching and making it. My first memories are from my early childhood, when my father a very gifted artist painted with incredible passion. I love the smell of linseed oil and turpentine. Oil colors are for me my favorite technique. Very early, I tried to draw/copy some of the masterpieces shown in the numerous art books in my house. It became a regular joy for me. Today at 55 years of age, I am begining to realize how important it has been for my personal and spiritual growth. I am also an Engineer, and as so I am used to math, logic and applied science. It is mostly about mind, left brain. Art is about intuition, sensibility, in general about soul and heart, right brain. At times for different reasons, I have alternated between both. After a long period as a painter only, I came back to do Engineering work. My mind had expanded incredibly. I had become a creative Engineer, and not any more one that only follows books and manuals. I feel both sides are balanced right now. From now on, I plan to use my left brain as a very useful and important complement to my right brain. This last one will be the dominat one and the one that I expect to develop the most.
